On the afternoon of September 22, Mr. Le Trong Binh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Moc Chau district (Son La), said that the locality had mobilized about 200 people to search for the two victims swept away by the flood.

The identities of the two people swept away by the flood were identified as Mr. Hang AH (49 years old, residing in Pa Khen 1 village, Moc Chau Farm town) and Ms. Trang Thi S. (45 years old, residing in Pha Nhen village, Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district).

As of 11:00 a.m. today, forces including police, army and Dong Sang, Muong Sang, and Chieng Hac communes are still actively searching for the two missing victims.

It is known that the two people were riding a motorbike through the spillway in Ang village, Dong Sang commune when the strong current swept them and their motorbike down the stream.
