With the focused leadership, direction and drastic, timely and effective solutions of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year of the province has developed stably and achieved many encouraging results. According to statistics, the total product in the province (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 5.54% over the same period in 2022. Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 4.85%; the industry and construction sector increased by 5.5%; the service sector increased by 5.99%; product tax minus product debt increased by 4.11%.

Since the beginning of the year, 490 new enterprises have been established (up 9.4% over the same period in 2022) with a total registered capital of VND 5,142 billion (up 10.2%), bringing the total number of enterprises registered to operate in the province to 8,921 with a total registered capital of VND 139,135 billion. Total retail sales of goods and social consumer services are estimated to increase by 28.32%. Total state budget revenue reached VND 2,878 billion, reaching 53% of the central budget estimate, reaching 48.7% of the People's Council's budget estimate (down 7.3% over the same period last year). It is estimated that by the end of June 2023, the total mobilized capital in the province will reach VND 58,100 billion, an increase of 4% over the same period and an increase of 7.5% compared to the end of 2022. Total social investment capital is estimated at VND 16,292 billion, reaching nearly 39% of the plan.

Along with that, nearly 14,500 workers have been employed, reaching 54.6% of the plan; vocational training for over 5,200 people, reaching 42% of the plan. Other cultural and social fields continue to receive investment and development attention and have also achieved remarkable results.
