Identifying agricultural cooperatives as the "key" to effectively exploiting the potential and strengths of local products, the district coordinates with functional sectors to implement many programs and projects to support agricultural cooperatives; train and improve the management and production skills of cooperative managers and members. Support cooperatives in accessing state capital to develop technical infrastructure and organize production; create conditions for households and groups of households to link up to establish agricultural cooperatives, cooperative groups, and develop businesses in diverse fields and industries. Coordinate with the Provincial Cooperative Union to propagate the conversion of cooperatives operating under the 2023 Law on Cooperatives, open training courses on the conversion of cooperatives, etc.
Localities, levels and sectors review the operation situation, difficulties and obstacles of agricultural cooperatives to develop effective production and business plans; introduce new varieties with high productivity and quality into production, apply technical advances according to safety standards and connect production with product consumption... Thereby, agricultural cooperatives expand production scale, access science and technology, productivity, quality and value of agricultural products are increasingly improved, and the activities of agricultural cooperatives are also increased one step further.
Dong Son Livestock, Agricultural Tourism, Medicinal Herbs Cooperative was established in 2024, creating regular jobs for 6 local workers with a stable income of 6 - 7 million VND/person/month. After expanding its scale, the cooperative maintains raising more than 400 goats/batch in a combined form of captivity and grazing. Each year, the cooperative sells 3 - 4 batches of goats for meat, the main consumption markets are in Ninh Binh, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi and some restaurants in the province. The selling price is from 140 - 150 thousand VND/kg, minus production costs, the income is over 300 million VND/year.

When establishing the Cooperative, entering a more professional environment, we strive to increase the value of products as well as affirm our position. The Cooperative is gradually mobilizing goat raising households to participate in the livestock cooperative in the area to build a production and product consumption linkage chain, improve production techniques for members to increase profits in livestock raising, develop production in a sustainable direction, contribute to economic restructuring, create more income and jobs for people in rural areas.

Established in 2017, Tan Viet A Agricultural Cooperative has identified its main business as producing Phja Den vermicelli products, with the main raw material being cassava flour purchased from localities in the district. The Cooperative also cooperates in production, supplying seeds, fertilizers and consuming products, forming concentrated raw material areas, expanding the area of canna plants in the direction of goods, applying science and technology, creating jobs for rural workers. Thanks to the implementation of production linkages, the Cooperative has a clean, quality raw material area, implementing solutions, constantly improving quality, Tan Viet A vermicelli products have gradually affirmed their brand and a solid position in the market. Tan Viet A vermicelli products are certified as 4-star OCOP products and fully meet the standards for export to the US market. In January 2025, the first shipment of 4 tons of Tan Viet A vermicelli was exported to the US market. This is a major development step for the Cooperative.
Mr. Tran Duc Hieu, Director of Tan Viet A Agricultural Cooperative, said: Phja Den vermicelli products are packaged with full information on ingredients, instructions for use, preservation, barcodes, and QR codes for traceability. The selling price ranges from 80,000 - 100,000 VND/kg, depending on the time. In 2024, the cooperative will sell more than 60 tons of vermicelli, creating jobs for nearly 10 seasonal workers in the area.
Along with producing vermicelli products, Tan Viet A Agricultural Cooperative also supports the consumption and trade promotion of agricultural products such as banh chung, black jelly, wood ear, Chinese sausage, shiitake mushrooms, etc., bringing local specialties to consumers across the country.
Agricultural cooperatives have gradually become an important link in the development of value chains linking production, processing and consumption of agricultural products; an important premise to promote the formation of small and medium-sized agricultural production, processing and consumption complexes in many concentrated agricultural production areas. Currently, the district has 22 agricultural cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector, with 258 members. Of these, 19 agricultural cooperatives operate effectively, mainly producing cassava vermicelli, with an average revenue of 132 million VND per cooperative. Some OCOP products of agricultural cooperatives are ranked 3 stars or higher, some agricultural cooperatives participate in the production of goods according to the value chain, creating products that ensure food safety and hygiene, have packaging, traceability, product barcodes... Thanks to that, consumers can easily recognize the cooperative's product brand, increase product value, improve income for cooperatives as well as create regular jobs for local workers with an average salary of 6 - 7 million VND/person/month.
Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Nguyen Binh District, Hoang Thi Hoa, said: The district continues to promote propaganda work, raise awareness among people about agricultural cooperatives, the role of collective economy, agricultural cooperative economy; build and replicate typical agricultural cooperative models; support agricultural cooperatives to access preferential loans to develop production. Promote the development of agricultural cooperatives associated with value chains, high technology application, digital transformation in production, product consumption, etc.
