Khanh Chi (student of Huynh Khuong Ninh Secondary School) confided: "Going on field trips helps us learn more knowledge that the school has not taught, and also learn skills in grinding stones and how to use a microscope. After going on field trips, I will come back and share new knowledge with my classmates."

Mr. Tran Van Dat - teacher at Tung Thien Vuong Secondary School - said that the students were very eager to visit and learn knowledge.

"I saw that the students had a lot of fun participating and looking at rocks through the microscope. They even drew the colors when they saw the flowers in the rocks. The school also takes them on field trips. These trips help students get excited, gain practical knowledge, and practice teamwork and practice skills," Mr. Dat added.

Students get to experience it for free

The program 'Adventure of Rocks' is organized completely free of charge by Van Khoa Science and Tourism Services Company Limited (under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) in collaboration with the Department of Geology, University of Natural Sciences.

Ms. Hoang Thi Nhung - deputy director of the company - said that university lecturers are guiding students.

"We coordinate with member schools in the Ho Chi Minh City National University to organize programs for students to experience directly. Through field trips, students can develop teamwork, presentation, and quick reflex skills. Accompanying teachers will also gain knowledge to innovate in the schools' teaching methods," Ms. Nhung shared.

According to Ms. Nhung, the company plans to open other programs for students to learn about the story of fire, Ba Chong Mountain in Dong Nai, and mineral rocks in Phan Thiet...
