On June 11, the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department announced that they are temporarily detaining Thach Truong Huy Phong (34 years old, residing in Cho Hamlet, Tap Son Commune, Tra Cu District, Tra Vinh) to investigate the murder. This is the suspect who used a knife to stab one person to death.

According to the initial investigation results, Phong and Mr. LCB (39 years old, residing in Dong Son hamlet, Tap Son commune, Tra Cu district, Tra Vinh) knew each other and often went out together. On the afternoon of June 9, after drinking, Phong and Mr. B. had a conflict and challenged each other to a fight in the area of Cho hamlet, Tap Son commune, Tra Cu district.
Phong then brought a knife to the meeting place to "fight to the death" with Mr. B. During the fight, Phong stabbed Mr. B. repeatedly, injuring him, then continued to Tra Vinh City (Tra Vinh) to play with friends. Mr. B. was taken to the emergency room by local people but died later.

After hearing the news of Mr. B's death and being persuaded by his family, Phong went to the police station to surrender and confessed to his crime.
The above murder case is being further investigated by the Investigation Police Agency of Tra Vinh Province Police and will be handled according to the provisions of law.
