Mr. Ha Huy Trung, Principal of Dien Phuc Primary School, said that yesterday was the day when classes summarized the school year. This was also the time when the mango trees in the school yard, which are over 10 years old, were ripe. Therefore, the school decided to pick the fruit to give to the students.
After more than an hour, the teachers in the school picked about 1,000 mangoes, washed them, divided them into classes, and gave each child two mangoes.
"Although the material things are not big, this is a way for the children to learn more about protecting trees," said Mr. Trung, adding that before, the teacher had reminded the children not to climb and pick fruit on their own to avoid accidents.
This is the 5th year the school has harvested mangoes to give to students, but this year the quantity is larger than before because of the good harvest.
