Against the market wind, "young spirit" firmly steps into business

Having a passion for insurance since graduating from school, Ms. Quyen had to face many difficulties, from unstable income to prejudices about the profession. At that time, having a stable job was precious to her, so she devoted all her heart to doing well every task assigned to her without thinking about setting bigger goals for her career.

"There were times when I wanted to give up, but thanks to the opportunity to meet teachers, they helped me to enlighten my thinking and clearly define my goals. That was what motivated me to change myself to overcome difficulties," Ms. Quyen shared. On that journey, the team spirit and companionship of Prudential became the support that helped her courageously change herself and persistently pursue her career to the end.

To prepare for the big changes, Ms. Quyen set many specific goals to move forward. Through training sessions from the company, she identified short-term and long-term goals, along with feasible implementation plans. When she saw her colleagues had the opportunity to join the StarClub trip to meet excellent Prudential consultants around the world, she and her close colleagues were determined to organize many conferences to connect with customers to get closer to the sales target. Thanks to her perseverance and dedication to work, Ms. Quyen has become a team manager at Prudential since then.

However, in the midst of a challenging period for the insurance industry, Ms. Quyen sees both "danger" and "opportunity". "Danger" because she is afraid that she will be eliminated if she does not develop and change to break through. But at the same time, she also realizes that there are many opportunities to challenge herself and seek new experiences. "Although I know it is difficult, I still want to do it and persevere little by little, stick with insurance until the end, ignoring all the negative prejudices around me", she confided.

Above all, she clearly felt the positive change in the awareness of Tay Ninh people towards insurance, although not much, but for her, it is a ray of hope in a volatile market. Despite facing many obstacles from colleagues, Ms. Quyen remained steadfast and determined on the path she had chosen. From the position of team manager, Ms. Quyen rose to become the Director of Prudential Tay Ninh 1 General Agency Office.

She shared: "As a manager, I chose to change to achieve the position of General Agent Office Director, because I 'love' insurance and hope that everyone will 'love' insurance like me, so that they can understand and choose the best protection for themselves." Here, "love" not only shows her attachment to the profession but also the deep love that she has for the job that she has been attached to for many years.

Dare to change is the key to success

Ms. Quyen understands that for the office to develop sustainably, training the team of consultants also needs to be focused on. Whether successful or not, the road will be more difficult without team spirit. Therefore, her key lies in constantly strengthening and developing internal capacity. "Business management needs to be solid to be able to guide and guide the 'blank pages' in the profession. Everything takes time, it cannot be rushed. Like a garden, we have to take care of it, cultivate it and clean it every day to see growth," she confided.

All the careful preparations of her and her team are aimed at helping Prudential Tay Ninh 1 General Agency Office become GAD Gold within 2 years, 3 years earlier than the company's expected time. This is a big challenge, but she believes that with determination and the right strategy, the whole office will achieve this goal. "For me, success is a journey of experience and constant self-reflection, sometimes this is more important than the final destination," she added.

One of the clearest evidences of Prudential's work with General Agency Office Directors to change and overcome market headwinds is the new general agency office model, launched in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Looking back on her journey with Prudential, Ms. Quyen is always proud of what she has achieved, but she also emphasizes that development never stops. For her, no matter what point in her career journey, as long as she dares to change and perseveres little by little, she will reach the hearts of customers and conquer her goals. "Even though times are difficult, I always tell myself and my teammates "don't let the waves make you give up", accepting change and persistently moving forward will help me create sustainable and long-term value", Ms. Quyen affirmed.
