Experience making your own portrait keychain
In the era where the DIY (Do It Yourself) trend is spreading among young people, the need to create products with personal imprints is increasing. In that flow, making portrait keychains has emerged as a unique activity for those who love handmade arts and are passionate about expressing their personal style.
In the past two years, from the model of a handicraft workshop with products made to order, this place has grasped the trend, launching an experience model for customers to create their own miniature version. This model has created a "fever" among young people in Hanoi when the first branch was launched in 2023.
Coming to this activity, visitors will be surprised to see a library of handicrafts with more than 2,000 super-small products. These are details simulating human portraits with full parts such as face, eyebrows, hair, accessories, costumes... extremely meticulously.
Not only admiring, we can "go shopping" to choose from thousands of items on display. Many visitors cannot contain their excitement when finding details similar to the person they want to emulate. From oval faces to square faces, straight eyebrows or willow eyebrows, long hair tied neatly or short hair to the shoulder... are all available at the library. This satisfies the need for choice, and at the same time meets the desire to express the personal color of young people.
Although it has just been launched in Ho Chi Minh City, this experience model has received the attention of many people. We visited the experience area on a weekday, however, it was not difficult to see young couples participating in this activity. They chose the details together, creating miniature models simulating each other's portraits.
Not only an experiential activity, this place also attracts young people by displaying handmade products simulating typical dishes and famous architectural works of Vietnam.
Here, in a comfortable, cozy space, customers can experience the process of designing, assembling and completing their own models. Small details are carefully selected and combined, creating products with their own style.
Sharing about this idea, Ms. Nguyen Ha An - founder of the experience model said: "Instead of waiting for weeks to receive a handmade product from an artisan, you can come here, choose the details and complete a meaningful gift or a souvenir for yourself."
Not only stopping at the experience model, this place also focuses on perfecting and developing miniature models that are completely handcrafted. It can be said that this is a delicate combination of sculpture and painting, bringing works with depth and high authenticity even at a scale much smaller than reality.
The above products are not only works of art but also bear the mark of Vietnamese culture. From traditional rice trays, lanterns, bamboo and rattan trays to familiar daily life items, each model expresses the love for the homeland and the desire to bring Vietnamese handicrafts closer to the younger generation.
Don't worry if you're not a crafty person, because this activity is suitable for everyone, including those who are not very crafty but still want to make handmade gifts for themselves and their loved ones.
The experience of making miniature portrait models by hand promises to be a bridge between handicrafts and young people, especially those who love beauty and traditional values.
