TPO - Catarina Machado is the wife of goalkeeper Diogo Costa, who recently shone to help Portugal defeat Slovenia to qualify for the quarter-finals of EURO 2024.
In the EURO 2024 Round of 16 match, Portugal played aggressively but were held to a 0-0 draw by Slovenia after 120 minutes. Entering the penalty shootout, goalkeeper Diogo Costa brilliantly saved all 3 penalties from Josip Ilicic, Jure Balkovec, and Benjamin Verbic, helping Portugal win 3-0 against Slovenia.
This result helps Portugal qualify for the quarter-finals of EURO 2024, against the French team. For his part, Costa became the first goalkeeper in history to successfully save 3 penalties in a match at EURO.
Diogo Costa and Catarina Machado started dating in 2016. It is currently unknown when the couple will get married. In November 2022, the 26-year-old beauty gave birth to Costa's first son, Tomas.
Catarina Machado is also Portuguese. The beauty born in 1998's main job is fashion design.
