The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6 (section Ba La - Xuan Mai) through Chuong My district has a length of 15.87km, with a total land area of 85,000ha. Of which, rice land and aquaculture land is 39.96ha, public land is 27.99ha, residential land is 15.28ha, agency and unit land is 1.42ha, cemetery land is 0.35ha.
According to Director of the Center for Land Development of Chuong My district Nguyen Manh Ha, the locality has issued land recovery notices for 2,896/3,380 plots of land to be recovered, reaching 85.7%. Immediately after the land recovery notice from the district People's Committee, the Center for Land Development in coordination with the People's Committees of communes and towns organized a meeting with the people and distributed the notices to each household.
Up to now, the work of declaring and counting assets on land has been carried out for 2,033 plots in communes and towns; the confirmation of land use origin has been signed for 686 plots, and the compensation, support and resettlement plans have been examined for 537 plots. The District People's Committee has also issued a decision to reclaim land and pay compensation for 343 plots with a total amount of 12.07 billion VND.
As of early July, the People's Committee of Chuong My district has handed over the site to the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board with a total length of 5.9 km and an area of over 23 hectares, reaching 27% of the total recovered land area. The district is also directing relevant departments and agencies to actively coordinate with relevant units to carry out the relocation of underground and above-ground works on the route.
The report of the leaders of 9 communes and towns in the project shows that the majority of people agree and support the policy of implementing the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6 - because this will create favorable conditions for people to develop socio-economy, but there are also some households who still have suggestions and questions about the compensation and site clearance policies. The communes and towns have established mass mobilization teams to propagate and mobilize these households.
Talking to us, Vice Chairman of Phu Nghia Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Khuong informed that in the commune, there are 193 households and 1 organization whose land was recovered to serve the "Project to renovate and expand National Highway 6". Up to now, Phu Nghia Commune People's Committee has verified the origin and transferred the files to the District People's Committee for 55 cases. The appraisal plan for 51 households has been publicly announced.
“In general, local people agree with the land acquisition and clearance for the project to renovate and expand National Highway 6. However, some households with construction works (which are not eligible for compensation) still have concerns and questions. They hope that the State will have a support mechanism to help them avoid disadvantages…” - Vice Chairman of Phu Nghia commune added.
