"We are pleased to regain the majority and begin working with our colleagues in the House to enact President Trump's agenda," Mr. Thune shared.
On the same day, House Speaker Mike Johnson was also nominated by the Republican Party to continue holding his current position. "It's a beautiful morning in Washington and a new day for America. This is a very, very important moment for the country," Mr. Johnson said.
