"It's a shame for Asian football. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) must severely punish these two clubs.
Their players must also receive appropriate disciplinary action," a fan commented on the Asean Football website after witnessing the chaotic brawl between Zhejiang Club (China) and Buriram United (Thailand) in the 5th match of the AFC Champions League group stage on the evening of November 29.

The brawl broke out right after the referee blew the final whistle, with Zhejiang winning 3-2.
For some unknown reason, Zhejiang players ganged up on Buriram United's number 10 player, Ramil Sheydayev. The Russian player was repeatedly punched and trampled.
The fight then spread. All 22 players from both teams, plus the coaching staff, jumped into the fray right on the field. It took a long time for the security forces to calm the "hot heads" down.
The ugly image between the two teams has received much criticism from Asian fans, especially when this is considered the most prestigious club tournament in the continental arena.
"They only play 10% football, the remaining 90% is fighting," a fan criticized the melee between Zhejiang and Buriram United.
"Thai players are famous for being arrogant and aggressive. They do not respect their opponents and always look for trouble, losing the beauty of sports," a fan criticized Buriram United players.
Thai and Chinese players got into a brawl right on the field.
"These two teams have not won the championship yet but have reached the finish line in terms of fighting ability. Congratulations to both teams for being severely punished soon," another fan commented.
"Kungfu vs Muay Thai. Zhejiang players did very well," a fan said about the scuffle between the two teams.
"In just one year, Thai football has caused two memorable riots. The last time was in the final match of SEA Games 32 against Indonesia, this time is in the AFC Champions League. AFC needs to impose heavy penalties to deter the players," a fan suggested.
"The Chinese players also play dirty. Last time, a Chinese player kicked a Vietnamese player in the face, and this time they also beat up a Thai player," another fan criticized the Zhejiang player.
According to Siamsport (Thailand) or Sina Sport of China, the host Zhejiang FC let a fight happen between players and the visiting team Buriram United and will likely receive a heavy penalty from AFC, possibly deducting points and fines, playing on an empty and neutral field.
Players involved in the brawl will also be suspended for one to three matches depending on the severity of the incident.
