On the morning of July 11, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to carry out the process of electing the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The conference implemented the document of the Party Central Office announcing the Politburo's opinion on the introduction of the election of the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term XX, 2020-2025 and the plan of the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee on implementing the personnel process to fill the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Based on the results of implementing the procedures on personnel work in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee; based on the proposal of the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, the Politburo agreed to introduce Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to be elected by the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung was appointed to join the Provincial Military Party Committee and the Military Party Committee of Military Region 1.

The Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference conducted the election of the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. As a result, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung was elected by the Provincial Party Executive Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
