National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man takes oath of office

According to the provisions of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, after being elected by the National Assembly, took the Oath Ceremony before the National Assembly.

“Under the sacred red flag with yellow star of the Fatherland, before the National Assembly and voters nationwide, I, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, swear: To be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the People, to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and to strive to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People.”

The National Assembly acknowledged the oath of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

In his inaugural speech, Comrade Tran Thanh Man expressed his gratitude to the National Assembly deputies for electing him as Chairman of the 15th National Assembly. This is a great honor and at the same time a great responsibility for him before the Party, State and people.

The National Assembly Chairman clearly stated that he always deeply understands that no matter what position he holds, he must always adhere to the goals of national independence and socialism; creatively apply and develop Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; adhere to the Party's renewal policy; and ensure the highest national interests and the legitimate rights, interests and aspirations of the people.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that in performing the duties and powers stipulated in the Constitution and the tasks entrusted to him by the Party, State, and people, he vowed to devote all his efforts to serving the Fatherland and the people.

Together with the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly agencies, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and National Assembly deputies, continue to innovate, improve the quality and efficiency of operations in terms of legislation, supreme supervision, and decision-making on important national issues.

Continue to strengthen the National Assembly's foreign affairs work together with the Party's foreign affairs, State diplomacy and people's diplomacy.
