CNN has given much praise to the Kissing Bridge, a new destination that opened on December 22 in Phu Quoc. Accordingly, the bridge is "a new check-in point where couples can share romantic moments under the sunset of Vietnam".

American travel expert Veronica Lin describes the Kissing Bridge as "a place for kissing" rather than a way to cross the two banks. She adds that "from a distance, the bridge looks like two lips about to touch."

The Kissing Bridge is a project designed by the famous Italian architect Marco Casamonti. The bridge is over 800 m long, inspired by the painting by the genius artist Michelangelo "Creation of Adam" on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, Vatican and the O Thuc Bridge in the legend of Ong Ngau and Ba Ngau.

The bridge consists of two branches, the North and the South, which form a unified whole but do not touch, but are 30cm apart. According to the design unit, this distance is just right for a hug, a handshake or a kiss. "The couple will stand on each side of the bridge, then lean in to give each other a passionate kiss," said Lin.

The American female tourist was also surprised by the calculation of the bridge's creators: every January 1st, the sun will "fall" exactly between the two bridge tips before setting into the sea.

In addition to the Kissing Bridge, the American newspaper also mentioned the Golden Bridge in Da Nang. Located at an altitude of more than 1,400 m above sea level, the bridge is designed to resemble two giant human hands supporting a golden thread. CNN voted the photo of the Golden Bridge as one of the 124 most impressive travel photos in the world in 2018. The Kissing Bridge is considered to be the next famous bridge after the Golden Bridge for international visitors.

In addition, the American newspaper also praised Phu Quoc as "the best island in Vietnam for tourism", especially for honeymooners. "The Kissing Bridge adds to the list of must-see places when coming to the island", Lin said.

The Kissing Bridge is a project in the new entertainment complex in Sunset Town Phu Quoc with a total investment of over 4,000 billion VND. Other entertainment spots for tourists include Vui Phet Beach Night Market, the "Kiss of the Sea" show with a 7-minute fireworks display every night.
