Long An International Port accompanies VILOG 2025, strongly affirming its commitment to green and sustainable development

On July 31, 2025, Long An International Port attended the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition (VILOG 2025), strongly affirming its commitment to green and sustainable development; Continuing to improve international integration capacity, increasing supply chain connectivity, affirming its position in the regional and global Logistics network.

In the bustling and exciting atmosphere, VILOG 2025 takes place from July 31 to August 2, 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, with active support from the Import-Export Department and the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA).

With the theme “Digital transformation - Green development of logistics industry”, VILOG 2025 focuses on the power of digital solutions and cooperation in promoting sustainable and efficient logistics industry, attracting wide attention from the business community, partners and visitors.

The event marked a strong development in both scale and quality; recording the participation of 480 booths of 350 enterprises from 20 countries and territories, displaying equipment, products, introducing services and advanced technology solutions.

Not only stopping at exhibition and trade connection activities, VILOG is also known as a prestigious forum with a series of specialized seminars, bringing practical added values and in-depth perspectives, promptly updating the situation of the domestic and international Logistics industry.

“Vietnam Logistics Expo 2025 represents an important turning point, a place for businesses in the logistics industry to gather and chart a path towards a more sustainable future. By highlighting the importance of green logistics as a foundation for sustainable development, we aim to inspire meaningful dialogue, create valuable connections and accelerate the implementation of environmentally responsible changes,” said Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade).

Within the framework of the event, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai and the delegates visited the booth and learned about the service solutions of Long An International Port. Through the media and sharing from the representative of Long An International Port, it was known that the successful signing of the cooperation agreement with strategic partners, SPG Bohaiwan Port | Shandong Port Cluster, China (belonging to SPG Group) and Bohwa Shipping (shipping line) on the afternoon of July 30, 2025, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai highly appreciated the efforts and results that the Port has achieved. At the same time, "Wishing for the cooperation between Long An International Port and its partners to develop sustainably and effectively, contributing to the sustainable development of the Logistics industry in Vietnam" - Mr. Hai continued.

Long An International Port strongly commits to sustainable development

The National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, has set the goal of "greening" economic sectors, including "developing green logistics" including green logistics centers, green ports, etc. Accordingly, Long An International Port has demonstrated strong determination in specific work plans to promote the sustainable development of Vietnam's Logistics industry.

VILOG is an opportunity for us to connect, listen to the market, introduce the port's infrastructure capacity and services, and at the same time contribute to promoting the image of Tay Ninh province - a new economic zone, the logistics center of the South" - Deputy General Director Ngo Thi Thanh Vy shared.

Over the years, Long An International Port has continuously improved operational efficiency, adapted to "digital transformation" and "green transformation" through the use of renewable energy, saving resources, optimizing processes, minimizing waste and emissions, and applying the most advanced technology.

The works at the Port are installed with solar panels, using energy-saving LED lights, applying advanced technology (CATOS, MOST).

The tractor fleet meets Euro 5 standards for emission reduction; 100% electric crane equipment.

Long An International Port continues to research and put into use mining equipment powered by electricity or renewable batteries, aiming to use shore power by 2030.

Long An International Port plays an important role in the global economic chain, especially in the field of logistics and supply chain, not only being an international freight forwarding point but also a center for transportation and distribution activities.

The birth of Long An International Port with its gateway position in the Mekong Delta has become an important link to complete the regional Logistics chain, from here goods will be transported to places around the world.
