Love revolutionary songs
- How is your work situation lately?
Most of the music programs during this time are geared towards national holidays and anniversaries. We artists are also busy preparing for these programs, so it is a bit hectic.
- Recently, you often appear in national music programs. What does that mean to you?
I am very honored to be invited to perform by these units. In the context of important events of the country, I believe that to spread the spirit of patriotism and national pride more strongly, we need young factors such as artists - people who bring values closer to the masses through art.
Many revolutionary songs familiar to generations are remixed in a new and heroic way, whether performed by veteran artists or young singers, easily enter the hearts of young people. That is easy to see when you use that music in videos , create trends... and spread widely.

For me, that dissemination was a resounding success because it did not force or coerce anyone. As long as the method was appropriate, young people would accept it naturally and voluntarily.
When the artists who came before us did a great job of preserving and passing on the culture to each generation, we young artists have the responsibility to inherit and continue. That is a heavy responsibility but it also makes my spirit much more passionate.
- According to you, why do you receive so many invitations?
First of all, there is the fundamental problem. For example, artists whose voices are inclined towards pop music will find it difficult to sing heroic patriotic music.
To be honest, I really love revolutionary songs in particular and patriotic music in general. Although my voice still has some flaws and is not yet perfect, it is the result of many years of practice. Luckily, thanks to that, I have enough strength to perform my favorite songs in new versions in my own way.
Of course, there are also opinions that my singing is not heroic enough. I always listen, absorb and adjust if necessary.

- Among the reasons for being in demand for national shows, you didn't mention a clean image without scandals, did you? That's the important reason!
I read a similar comment on TikTok and felt very happy! Looking back at myself, I lived a bit simply, a bit rustic when I didn't know how to have fun and socialize.
In my career, I don't have much ambition because I'm afraid that big boats have big waves. For many years, I just went home after singing.
Thankfully I'm still okay, being an artist is hard to predict. What if tomorrow a scandal happens...
Inviting Noo Phuoc Thinh is not difficult
- If you say you love revolutionary and patriotic music, I believe you because I can feel it...
The artists of the previous generation put their whole soul into any piece of work. They analyzed every word, extracted the meaning bit by bit, and never sang without understanding the work.
As a younger generation, I always cherish that spirit. Many times I hesitated, even refused to sing a song if I felt I didn’t have enough emotion or understanding for it.

- What songs do you like?
I like a lot of songs like: The girl sharpening spikes, The girl from Saigon carrying ammunition, The train passing through the mountain ... but never dare to touch them, at most I just sing and listen to them myself!
I also like the song Hello girl Lam Hong because People's Artist Trung Duc sings it so well, each sentence is like pouring into my ears. He sings it so gently as if he has no technique, but when I try to sing it, I realize it's extremely difficult. Songs like that, I will definitely fail. (laughs)
For me, singing pop music is fine, it's okay to break the song a little bit, but revolutionary songs are absolutely not allowed.
When I first received the song "Tu Van" , I discovered that there were two versions of the last verse: "Watching our brothers stand up and wave the flag high" and "Standing up with our brothers and waving the flag high". It took Duc Tuan and I a long time to find a handwritten copy to sing the original lyrics.
To me, that is the first principle for an artist to be able to touch revolutionary music, patriotic music. With classic songs, singing one wrong word can change the meaning.
- How do you show your support for programs like this? What about smaller-scale programs of agencies, departments, and organizations?
It's an honor for an artist to appear, we just wait for our names to be called. The salary we receive is usually just enough to cover travel expenses, dancers... but that's no problem.
It is not difficult to invite us to participate. On August 10, there was a program called “For a Peaceful Capital” organized by Hanoi Police. Did you know that I was invited to participate just a few days before? So was it easy or difficult to invite me?
With smaller-scale programs of agencies and units, I think they rarely invite showbiz artists because they already have their own artist force in that field.
- Recently, the audience has given you many nicknames "Prince of VTV", "Patriotic Poet"... Which one is most appropriate for you?
Anything is fine, as long as I am a patriotic Vietnamese, an artist who can contribute to important national occasions.
Recently, singer Noo Phuoc Thinh has participated in many official music events and programs such as: VTV Concert - Radiant Vietnam, Fatherland in the Heart, Festival for a Peaceful Capital, Glory of the People's Public Security of Vietnam ...
In particular, Noo Phuoc Thinh's performances of Miracle, Volunteer and One Round of Vietnam at VTV Concert spread strongly on social media platforms. On TikTok, more than 10 related keywords entered the top trending searches.
Meanwhile, at the concert "Fatherland in the Heart" , the male singer caused a stir with his bright appearance when appearing from below the stage.
