On the afternoon of December 18, the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh presented the medal "For the cause of building the Vietnam People's Army" from the Minister of National Defense to provincial leaders.

Provincial leaders and delegates attended the celebration.

The leader of the Provincial Military Command presented a speech reviewing the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army. Born from the people, fighting for the people, over the past 80 years, the Vietnam People's Army has always excellently fulfilled the tasks assigned by the Party and the people, making great contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland; at the same time, constantly growing and developing in all aspects.

Promoting the glorious tradition of the heroic Army and the heroic homeland of Thanh Hoa, in recent years, the Thanh Hoa armed forces have continued to coordinate well with other forces, grasp and accurately forecast the situation; promptly advise local Party committees and authorities to effectively handle national defense and security situations, avoiding passivity and surprise; contributing to building an all-people national defense, an all-people national defense posture associated with a people's security posture, and building a solid provincial and district defense area.

Along with that, the armed forces in the province have actively participated in the campaigns and emulation movements "Joining hands to build new rural areas", "Joining hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", "Repaying gratitude" activities; helping people develop socio-economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, build political bases, new cultural life; participating in rescue, preventing natural disasters, epidemics... Thereby, contributing to beautifying the image and qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers"; strengthening the solidarity and close relationship between the army and the people, creating a solid foundation to promote the combined strength to protect the Fatherland.

With outstanding achievements in construction and combat, Thanh Hoa armed forces were honored twice to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; and were awarded many noble titles by the Party, State and Army such as: Gold Star Order, Ho Chi Minh Order, Military Exploit Order, Exploit Order, Fatherland Protection Order...

In the coming time, the Thanh Hoa armed forces in general and the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command in particular will continue to spread more strongly and widely the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers". In any circumstances, they always demonstrate steadfast political will, solidarity, and a high sense of responsibility towards the Party, the country, and the Army, truly being a reliable support for local Party committees and authorities; striving to continue to be the leading unit in the Emulation movement for Victory of the entire army.

At the ceremony, authorized by the Minister of National Defense, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh presented the medal "For the cause of building the Vietnam People's Army" to provincial leaders who have made many contributions to the cause of building and developing the Vietnam People's Army.
