On March 27, 2025, the Provincial Party Executive Committee issued Decision No. 2193 on merging the Provincial Radio and Television Station into Lang Son Newspaper to form Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station. After the merger, the Newspaper and Radio and Television Station reduced 1 press agency, 5 specialized departments, 1 agency head and 5 department-level leaders.
