In the first 6 months of the year, the entire social insurance sector received and processed 45 million electronic transaction records (accounting for 87% of the total number of records both directly and online received and processed). With the official launch of the VssID - Social Insurance Digital mobile application, Vietnam Social Insurance has provided public services, publicized and transparent information on social insurance and health insurance contributions and benefits; deployed the use of health insurance card images on the application for health insurance treatment (deployed nationwide from June 1, 2021) and other information and utilities. To date, nearly 30 million personal electronic transaction accounts (used to log in and use the VssID application) have been approved nationwide, with more than 4 million uses of health insurance card images on the VssID application for health insurance treatment.

Nationwide, there have been 12,519 facilities implementing health insurance treatment using chip-embedded citizen identification cards (reaching 97.7% of the total number of health insurance treatment facilities nationwide), with 32,585,579 successful searches of health insurance card information using citizen identification cards to serve health insurance treatment procedures. The application of biometrics in health insurance treatment and receiving records, returning results of administrative procedures has helped to direct health insurance treatment at medical facilities from the beginning (people self-check-in and authenticate biometrics). The average authentication time is 6-13 seconds per operation, with very high accuracy; only 1 medical staff is needed for all authentication counters.

The results achieved in the implementation of digital transformation and Project 06 have brought about "turning point" changes in all activities of the Insurance industry, contributing to the creation and construction of a digital Vietnam Social Insurance industry, in line with the orientation of Digital Government, meeting the requirements of ensuring national social security, helping to reduce time and costs for organizations and individuals when transacting with Social Insurance agencies.

To implement the tasks in the coming time, the entire social insurance sector will focus on the following key tasks: Deploying 2 groups of interconnected administrative procedures nationwide; coordinating with the police sector to review, verify, and update information on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance participants with the National Population Database; digitizing records and results of handling administrative procedures in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 45/2020/ND-CP; promoting monthly payment of pensions and social insurance benefits via accounts for beneficiaries... creating convenience and safety in all transactions of the social insurance sector.
