The event took place on the evening of March 15 in Hanoi, inspired by the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.
Within the framework of the program, there are parades, flag-raising ceremonies, torch-lighting ceremonies from the ancestral land of Phu Tho, and art performances honoring the national spirit.
The event had the participation of " Drunk Hi Brothers " HIEUTHUHAI, Anh Tu Atus, Jsol, singers MONO, Toc Tien, Hoang Bach...
Painter Van Thao - son of musician Van Cao - said he has listened to the National Anthem thousands of times, but each time it feels like he is filled with more national pride.
"I was moved to be invited to participate in a large-scale event where 15,000 people sang the national anthem together," he said, "and I must thank my father, who created the sacred song of the mountains and rivers that makes all Vietnamese people proud."
Mr. Van Thao added that his family had received many invitations to attend the event but did not accept; this was the first time he, his son and grandson sang his father's famous song together.
This comes from his admiration for Mr. Hien , the person behind this event. He used to watch football matches of T&T club, the predecessor of Hanoi football club founded by Mr. Hien.

Van Giang, the eldest grandson of musician Van Cao, said that he and his father and family members had the opportunity to perform this work as an art work, not as the national anthem under the national flag.
"I've been excited for a few days because I know the event will be included in the Guinness Book of Records, and I have the honor of being one of the people who made that record," he said.
Van Giang brought his children, great-grandchildren of Van Cao, to the event so that all three generations of the family had the opportunity to participate in this special event.

On August 16, 1945, at the National Congress held in Tan Trao (Son Duong, Tuyen Quang), Uncle Ho chose the National Anthem and National Flag for the approaching independence of Vietnam.
The three nominees for the National Anthem include Tien Quan Ca (Van Cao), Chien Si Viet Minh (later changed to Chien Si Viet Nam by Van Cao), and Diet Phat Xit by Nguyen Dinh Thi.
As a result, Uncle Ho chose Tien Quan Ca as the National Anthem because it was short, easy for people to sing and remember, and served as a strong call to arms.
That same afternoon, the congress held a meeting to choose the national flag as a red flag with a five-pointed yellow star in the middle, chose Tien Quan Ca as the national anthem and issued the order for the August General Uprising.
