Vietnam achieves high results at the 2024 Korea International Science Olympiad

The Korea International Youth Olympiad 4i (KIYO4i) is an annual international science competition organized by the World Women Inventors and Entrepreneurs Association (WWIEA) and sponsored by many scientific organizations around the world such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Invention Organization (EAPO)... to encourage the young generation to constantly innovate and explore science and technology.

The competition takes place from August 4 to 6, 2024. The Vietnam Physics Society sends 3 teams of science-loving students from secondary and high schools across the country to participate in the Team Creativity competition - a competition that requires creativity and the ability to work effectively in groups.

According to information from the Vietnam Physics Association, three Vietnamese student teams from Hanoi , Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Ha Nam achieved excellent results at the 2024 Korea International Science Olympiad.

Accordingly, Vietnam team 2 won the Gold medal and the Grand Prix special prize, including students: Nguyen Quynh Chi (Luong The Vinh High School, Hanoi), Tran Dieu Huyen (British Academy Ha Long International Bilingual School, Quang Ninh), Hoang Quan (Chu Van An High School, Hanoi), Nguyen Tra My (Hon Gai High School, Quang Ninh), Pham Nhat Quang (High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, VNU). In which, the Grand Prix special prize is the biggest prize, awarded to the team that meets all the requirements for a practical and creative topic.

Vietnam Team 1 won the Gold medal with the following students: Mai Chi Kien (Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted), Hoang Thien Son (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted), Le Viet Linh (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted), Truong Uyen Linh (National Science High School, VNU), Truong Bao Linh (National Science High School, VNU).

Vietnam Team 3 won the Silver medal including students: Tran Duc Thai (Nguyen Dang Dao Secondary School, Bac Ninh), Ngo Hoang Anh (Nguyen Dang Dao Secondary School, Bac Ninh), Hoang Duy Hung (FPT Ha Nam Inter-level High School).
