Continue to apply land price list until the end of 2025

The Ministry of Finance recently sent an official dispatch to ministries, branches and localities guiding the implementation of regulations in the 2024 Land Law related to the management and use of public assets.

The 2024 Land Law, effective from August 1, allows localities to apply the old land price list until December 31, 2025. After that, localities will apply the new land price list from January 1, 2026.

If necessary, the Provincial People's Committee shall decide to adjust the land price list according to the provisions of this Law to suit the actual situation of land prices in the locality. The procedure for adjusting the Land Price List in this case (if any) shall comply with the provisions of Article 17 of Decree No. 71/2024 dated June 27, 2024 of the Government regulating land prices.

The Ministry of Finance also stated that, implementing the plan to implement the 2024 Land Law, issued together with Decision No. 222 of the Prime Minister and the direction of the Government leaders, the Ministry of Finance has submitted to the Government to issue Decree No. 103 regulating land use fees, land rents, and Decree No. 104 regulating the Land Development Fund.

Including regulations on calculation, collection, payment, exemption and reduction of land use fees and land rent. Regulations on organization, operation and financial mechanism of the Land Development Fund; handling of transitional land use fees and land rent for cases where land has been allocated or leased, and on the operation of the Land Development Fund before the effective date of the 2024 Land Law.
