Thanh Hoa assigned to review and auction 213 "golden" land lots

Mr. Mai Cong Hoang, Deputy Chief of Office of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just signed and issued Document No. 11124/UBND - KTTC conveying the direction of Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi assigning the Department of Justice to preside over and coordinate with the City People's Committee and related units to review and advise on responding to the feedback and proposal on auctioning land use rights for residential areas in Quang Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa City.

Specifically, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi directed the competent authorities, based on the provisions of law, the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 11002/UBND-KTTC dated July 31, 2024 and documents related to the auction of land use rights for residential area projects in Quang Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa City, to perform the work contents according to their authority.

The review aims to ensure full compliance with legal regulations and absolutely no loss of state budget. Based on the implementation results, the Department of Justice will issue a written response to the recommendations and relevant departments and units to implement according to regulations. Report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation results and contents beyond the authority (if any).

Previously, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee received a petition and reflection from Mr. NTH about the auction process of the Residential Area project in Quang Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa city.

Specifically, Mr. H. said that the fact that Dong A Group Company Limited won the auction for 213 land lots of a residential project in Quang Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa city with the amount of 255 billion VND is "extremely abnormal and shows signs of violating the law".

In the petition, Mr. H. cited that as of April 15, 2024, Dong A Group Company Limited was owing the state budget land use fees and late payment of land use fees for the Dong A Marine Ecological Urban Area project in Sam Son City, which was more than 214 billion VND.

Mr. H. proposed that the leaders of Thanh Hoa province assign the Provincial Inspectorate to organize an inspection of the auction of the above project.

The residential project in Quang Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa city has a total of 213 land lots, with a total area of 19,938.45m2.

On April 9, 2024, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 1374/QD-UBND on approving the starting price for auctioning land use rights for the Residential Area project in Quang Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa city (including 213 land lots for rough construction and finishing the front of adjacent housing projects) with the amount of 245 billion VND.

In another development, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province has just issued Decision 3228/QD-UBND approving the starting price for auctioning land use rights for residential projects in Dong Huong Urban Area, Thanh Hoa City.

The starting price for the auction of land use rights for the residential project in Dong Huong Urban Area, Thanh Hoa City, under planning area 3208, is more than 353 billion VND. The land area is 2 hectares, including 205 plots of land for building adjacent houses.

This site is located next to site 3241, which caused a stir in public opinion when the auction price in 2019 was a record in Thanh Hoa of more than 1,200 billion VND.
