On January 11, Ms. Rah Lan Dinh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Pal commune, Chu Se district ( Gia Lai ) confirmed that a case of toad meat poisoning had just occurred in the area, causing 2 children to die and 1 child is in the emergency room.

According to initial information, at around 10am the same day, three biological sisters including S.HN (born in 2013), SH (born in 2018) and ST (born in 2020), all residing in Tao Roong village, Ia Pal commune, butchered toads to eat. At around 11:30am, their family discovered them lying motionless on the floor, unable to control their urination, so they were taken to the Chu Se District Medical Center for emergency care.

Gia Lai makes meat from two blood sisters from the same womb.

According to the Chu Se District Medical Center, when S. HN was admitted to the hospital, his circulation and breathing had stopped, his pupils were maximally dilated, his pulse was undetectable, and his blood pressure was unmeasurable. Although the doctors tried their best to resuscitate him, his condition did not improve, and he died shortly thereafter.

SH and ST were admitted to the hospital in a state of drowsiness, vomiting... and were diagnosed with toad meat poisoning by doctors. After receiving intensive emergency care from doctors, both patients were transferred to Gia Lai Provincial Children's Hospital for treatment. However, on the way to the emergency room, S. H died.

Currently, ST is being actively treated at the Intensive Care and Anti-Poison Department (Gia Lai Children's Hospital).

It is known that the toads were caught by the father yesterday. While the father and grandmother were away, the three sisters took the toads out to butcher and eat.
