Welcoming Chairman Ha Dong Phong and leaders of COMAC Group to visit Vietnam on the occasion of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping's visit to Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that during this visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, the two sides will discuss many important issues for the future development of the two countries and their relations; along with that, the two sides will sign many important documents, including cooperation in the aviation sector.

The Prime Minister said that the Party and State of Vietnam always encourage large enterprises, representing high scientific and technological level of China, to participate in new investments, expand investment in the fields of road, railway and aviation infrastructure in Vietnam. On that basis, the Government of Vietnam and relevant ministries and sectors are ready to facilitate airlines in the process of organizing and exploiting flights between Vietnam and other countries, contributing to the development of trade, tourism, and socio-economics.

Appreciating and congratulating COMAC Group, although it was established not long ago, it has developed rapidly, becoming a large aircraft manufacturing group in China; stating that after each working session with COMAC Group's leaders, the aviation cooperation between COMAC and Vietnamese partners has had better results. The Prime Minister suggested that along with cooperation in leasing and hire-purchase of aircraft, COMAC cooperates with Vietnamese partners to invest in aircraft warranty and repair centers in Vietnam.

Analyzing the development trends in today's world, as well as the regional and global aviation market, the Prime Minister suggested that, with the tradition of good relations of "both comrades and brothers", "mountains connecting mountains, rivers connecting rivers" between Vietnam and China, COMAC Group cooperates and supports Vietnamese partners in developing aircraft fleets, expanding flight routes; moving towards producing components, manufacturing aircraft, developing the aviation ecosystem, aviation economy, training high-quality human resources and exploiting Vietnam's space, contributing to promoting the Vietnam - China relationship to develop more substantially, effectively and in depth.

Sincerely thanking Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for taking the time to receive the delegation, Chairman of COMAC Group Ha Dong Phong highly appreciated Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's important contributions in fostering the Vietnam - China relationship, creating favorable conditions for COMAC's relationship with Vietnamese partners, especially in perfecting the legal framework, creating favorable conditions for COMAC's aircraft to be exploited in Vietnam.

Agreeing with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's assessment of new development trends in the world, the COMAC Chairman expressed his joy at witnessing the vitality, openness, tolerance and the atmosphere of striving to rise up taking place throughout Vietnam under the leadership of the Party and the administration of the Government; believing that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam, which has been great, will become even greater.

Sharing about the formation and development process of COMAC, COMAC Chairman Ha Dong Phong said that from the beginning, after only 17 years, COMAC has become a major aircraft manufacturer, supplying many partners around the world.

Agreeing with the Prime Minister's opinion, the Chairman of COMAC hopes that the Prime Minister will regularly pay attention to, support and direct Vietnamese partners to expand the scale of cooperation with COMAC, not only developing air transport but also aiming at developing the aviation industry in Vietnam./.
