Of which, international visitors reached 1,986 million (240% of the same period in 2023). Total tourism revenue reached VND 22,285 billion (111% of the growth scenario, 134% of the same period in 2023).

In the last 6 months of 2024, the province strives to attract a total of 8.57 million tourists, including 7.07 million domestic visitors and 1.5 million international visitors; total tourism revenue reaches VND 24,175 billion.

From there, strive to reach 19 million tourist arrivals in 2024 (including 15.5 million domestic visitors and 3.5 million international visitors); total tourism revenue reaches 46,460 billion VND. This target increases by 8% compared to the plan set by the province at the beginning of the year.

To achieve this goal, Quang Ninh will focus on developing domestic and international tourism markets.

In particular, from now until the end of the year, the province will continue to organize 92 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities in Quang Ninh province (including 17 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities at international, national, and provincial levels, and 76 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities at local levels).

In particular, there are a number of large-scale cultural and sports events held in the third and fourth quarters of 2024 such as: Korean and Vietnamese Grand Music Festival in Ha Long City; Vnexpress Marathon Amazing 2024; Bay Trianthlon 51.1 Tuan Chau - Ha Long 2024; Special exhibition "August Revolution and National Day September 2 - Historical milestone"; Special exhibition "Colors of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage at the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay"; Quang Ninh Culinary Festival 2024...

Along with that, the province plans to open sea tourism routes including: Route from Beihai City, Guangxi (China) to Ha Long City; route from Guangzhou City (China) to Ha Long City.

In particular, the province will agree with tourism businesses to build flight routes through Van Don International Airport such as: Flight route from Wuxi, Jiangsu, China - Van Don, Quang Ninh (expected 2 flights/week, starting from October 2024); flight route from Jeju, South Korea - Van Don, Quang Ninh (expected to start from October 2024).

At the same time, continue to connect with tourism businesses, open other international tourism routes from China, Korea and domestic flights in the Southern region to Quang Ninh via Van Don International Airport.

In addition to these solutions, Quang Ninh will also continue to implement the contents of Plan No. 39/KH-UBND dated February 7, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on developing Quang Ninh tourism products in 2024.

In particular, promoting the development of tourism products and programs in the fall and winter in the province, specifically continuing to put into operation 35 new tourism products in the province in the last 6 months of 2024; researching and putting into operation products and services associated with the value of the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay in the direction of enhancing the experience for tourists; putting into operation the connecting itinerary of Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay after the decision to announce the tourist tours in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.

Along with that, it is to encourage tourism businesses in the area to exploit new tourism products of the unit such as sea and island tourism products; community and ecological tourism; border tourism products.

In addition, develop MICE tourism products by attracting conference and seminar programs of central ministries, branches, and economic organizations held in Quang Ninh in the last 6 months of 2024.
