Orient Commercial Bank (OCB) has just announced information about Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung submitting his resignation from the position of member of the Board of Directors (BOD) according to his personal wishes. Previously, in April 2024, Mr. Tung also submitted his resignation as the bank's general director.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung has been the general director of OCB for the past 12 years.
Sharing about this decision, Mr. Tung said that after leaving the position of General Director of OCB to focus on sustainable development strategy and expanding the bank's large partner network in the role of permanent member of OCB's Board of Directors, he had his own plan, focusing on financial digitalization projects - one of the passions and enthusiasm that he has pursued for a long time.
"However, in order to ensure transparency and comply with the provisions of the new Law on Credit Institutions, which took effect from July 1, I have decided to submit my resignation from the position of member of the Board of Directors to focus on my upcoming personal work," said Mr. Tung.
Joining OCB since April 2012 and officially taking the position of General Director since August 2012, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung, together with the Board of Directors and Executive Board, has turned OCB into the most efficient private bank in Vietnam.
In April 2023, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung was re-elected as a member of the Board of Directors of OCB to further promote the implementation of the bank's strategic plans in the coming time.
It is known that Mr. Tung's resignation letter will be considered by the Board of Directors and submitted for approval at the nearest General Meeting of Shareholders.
