Parachuting man stuck on 110kV high voltage power line

(Dan Tri) - Authorities have just successfully rescued a parachuting man who was stuck on a 110kV high-voltage power line in Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi .


At around 3:20 p.m. on November 9, a man parachuted from the top of Bu 833 hill, Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi, to a field and got stuck on a 110kV high-voltage power line.

After receiving the news, local authorities coordinated with the Northern Power Corporation to mobilize human resources and specialized equipment to the scene to rescue the victims.

Authorities said the incident did not affect residential areas but caused a power outage at a cement factory in the area.

At around 4:30 p.m., the man was rescued safely, without injury.

Witnesses at the scene said the victim was trapped about 25 meters above the ground, suspended between two bare electric wires.

Previously, on October 20, a man parachuting in Quang Tien commune, Hoa Binh city, when preparing to land, also got caught in a 35kV power line, leaving his entire body hanging in the air.
