According to TASS, the Tagansky District Court in Moscow has fined the Telegram messaging service for refusing to remove channels calling for terrorist attacks on transport systems and participating in anti-government protests aimed at overthrowing the Russian government.
According to documents provided to TASS, despite the notice from the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Information and Communications Technologies, Telegram has not removed any information or pages containing calls for carrying out the above-mentioned extremist activities.
The documents said the Telegram channels contained calls to join anti-government protests aimed at overthrowing the authorities in Russia, as well as carry out terrorist attacks on the railway system.
As a result, the messaging service was fined 7 million rubles (more than 80,000 USD)./.
