In particular, Binh Thuan has initially promoted the effectiveness of the offshore exploitation model, associated with logistics services, purchasing, preliminary processing, preserving products at sea, building a model of solidarity groups for seafood exploitation. Thanks to investing in large-capacity vessels for long-term sea trips, Binh Thuan fishermen annually exploit about 180,000 tons of various types of seafood. Along with that, the specialty aquaculture, production and consumption of shrimp seeds have also developed strongly, with an annual aquaculture output estimated at nearly 15,000 tons and production and consumption of more than 2 billion shrimp seeds.
