Speaking at the opening of the session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on 7 draft laws and 3 resolutions; including the Land Law (amended). This is a very important draft law after consulting with full-time National Assembly deputies and today the National Assembly Standing Committee will continue to give opinions to continue discussing and submitting to the National Assembly at the 6th session taking place next October.

Next is the draft Law on Social Insurance (amended), which is a law project as a pillar of social security; next is giving opinions on the draft Law on Archives (amended); the draft Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); the draft Law on Capital City (amended); the draft Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization.

Regarding supervision work, at this session, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will give opinions and consider the National Assembly's Resolutions related to thematic supervision, Resolutions on questioning and answering questions...

According to Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, the session of the National Assembly Standing Committee was divided into 3 phases with 16 contents to be considered and commented on.

At this session, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will also consider and give written opinions on a number of contents: Giving opinions on the Government's Report on the implementation of the Constitution, laws and resolutions of the National Assembly; Report on the activities of the Provincial People's Councils; Government reports on the results of activities and management and use of the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund in 2021 and 2022; results of 2 years of implementing Resolution No. 68/2013/QH13 of the National Assembly on promoting the implementation of policies and laws on health insurance, towards universal health insurance; the implementation of social insurance policies and regimes, management and use of the Social Insurance Fund in 2022; the implementation of management and use of the Health Insurance Fund in 2022...

After the opening speech by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, under the direction of National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai, the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed and gave opinions on the 2023 work report and the 2024 audit plan of the State Audit Office.

Next, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly gave its opinions on the report on the roadmap to shorten the process and time for annual state budget settlement; on the draft Supervision Plan and report outline of the Supervision Delegation of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on "Implementation of policies and laws on ensuring traffic order and safety from 2009 to the end of 2023"; on the report on the National Assembly's people's petition work in August 2023.
