The 6th Hanoi - Fukuoka (Japan) Cultural and Educational Exchange

2024 is the 6th year of the cultural and educational exchange program between Hanoi and Fukuoka (Japan). There are 5 schools in Hanoi participating in this exchange and cooperation activity, including: Viet Duc High School, Tran Phu High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School, Newton Secondary and High School, Phenikaa Secondary and High School.

Within the framework of the program, 49 students from Fukuoka province (Japan) will be welcomed by Vietnamese families to live, exchange and experience from now until August 9.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that the cultural and educational exchange program between Hanoi and Fukuoka aims to strengthen the cooperative and friendly relationship between the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Fukuoka Private Education Association (Japan), promote foreign affairs, and contribute to deepening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

The activity also helps both sides share information and experience in educational management and teaching, especially Vietnamese and Japanese; helps Japanese students better understand and love Vietnam, and promote the image of Hanoi and Vietnam to friends around the world.

"In the context of increasingly in-depth exchanges between the people of Vietnam and Japan, the program will contribute to further strengthening mutual understanding as well as the close friendship between the people of Vietnam and Japan in general; and the close affection between students and schools in Hanoi - Fukuoka in particular," emphasized Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong.

The representative of the Fukuoka high school student delegation shared that the visit, exchange and study of Japanese students to Hanoi this time is an opportunity for Japanese students to learn about culture, including Vietnamese culinary culture. This is a useful activity, contributing to enhancing cultural exchange between students of the two cities; at the same time, it is an opportunity for teachers from Fukuoka province - Japan to visit schools in Hanoi to learn and study the progress of Vietnamese education...

On behalf of Hanoi students participating in the program, Ha Phuong, class 10A1, Phan Dinh Phung High School said: "I am very honored and excited to welcome Japanese friends to my home to experience and live in the next few days. Surely, this will be a beautiful memory in my student life...".
