At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted for individual rice products. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND30,000/kg; Jasmine rice is VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is VND20,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates around VND15,000 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice is VND20,000 - 21,000/kg; Huong Jasmine rice is VND20,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is VND21,000/kg; common white rice is VND17,000/kg; regular Soc rice is VND18,500/kg; Thai Soc rice is VND20,000/kg; Japanese rice is VND22,000/kg.
Regarding rice, it is noted that rice transactions in localities are moderate, rice prices are high. In Can Tho, transactions are slow, there is not much autumn-winter rice in one source, mainly young rice that is not many days old. In Long An, rice transactions are relatively high, rice prices are high. In Soc Trang, prices of all types of rice are stable, demand is stable.
Specifically, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday, IR 50404 prices fluctuate around 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 7,650 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 380 fluctuates from 6,800 - 7,100 VND/kg; Nhat rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 is at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg, and Nang Nhen rice (dry) is at 20,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, the glutinous rice market recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) 7,500 - 7,800 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. Long An glutinous rice (fresh) 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg. An Giang glutinous rice (fresh) 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, unchanged compared to yesterday.
Regarding rice, the rice price recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. Specifically, IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice remained at 11,400 - 11,550 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice remained at 13,550 - 13,650 VND/kg.
By-products today recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice remains at 9,200 - 9,400 VND/kg; the price of dry bran remains at 7,250 - 7,350 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices recorded an adjustment compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was at 435 USD/ton; 5% broken rice remained stable at 562 USD/ton, up 3 USD; 25% broken rice was at 525 USD/ton, up 5 USD.
Top exporter India's 5 percent broken parboiled rice was quoted at $539-$545 a tonne, down from $543-$551 a tonne last week. Meanwhile, Vietnam's 5 percent broken rice was offered at $565 a tonne, up from $560 a week ago, traders said. Demand from Philippine buyers is growing, while exports to the Philippines and Indonesia have picked up in recent days, a Ho Chi Minh City-based trader said.
In Thailand, benchmark 5% broken rice was quoted at $565 a tonne, down from $570-$575 last week. A Bangkok-based trader said the fall was partly due to a stronger baht. He said supplies were steady thanks to favourable weather.
