On the eve of Diem My 9X’s wedding, the sweet love story between her and her businessman boyfriend has received attention from fans. The actress’s fiancé is Vinh Nguyen, a Vietnamese-American who grew up in Australia. He studied at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne (Victoria, Australia) and is currently in the restaurant business.
Diem My 9X and Vinh Nguyen first met in 2015 at a film festival held in Australia. The first impression Vinh Nguyen gave the actress was "elegant and charming". After this chance, the two developed feelings for each other and maintained contact, but did not think further because Vinh Nguyen lived and worked in Australia, while Diem My lived in Vietnam. After a period of getting to know each other, the couple decided to develop their relationship, despite the geographical distance. During the years of their long-distance relationship, Diem My 9X and her boyfriend "only saw each other once every few months". But I still fall head over heels in love with you," the actress confided. After 2 years of long-distance relationship, Diem My's boyfriend returned to Vietnam to take over the family business.
