Proposal to split Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Project into 3 component projects

Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee has proposed that the Ministry of Construction consider dividing the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Construction Investment Project into 3 component projects.

Accordingly, Component Project 1 from Km 0+000 to Km 22+000 has a length of 22 km, with a total investment of 6,989 billion VND.

Component project 2 from Km 22+000 to Km 90+000 has a length of 68 km, with a total investment of VND 27,576 billion.

Component project 3 from Km 90+000 to Km 125+000 has a length of 35 km, with a total investment of VND 9,169 billion.

3 component projects have a total length of 125 km; total investment capital of 43,734 billion VND; scale of 4 lanes.

Regarding the reason for the proposal to split the project into 3 component projects, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province said that based on the analysis and assessment of the difficulty of the terrain, it leads to the complexity in surveying, designing and constructing items for the sections of the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Project.

Dividing the project into reasonable components aims to speed up the progress of investment procedures (selecting contractors, preparing, appraising and approving design documents, etc.), implementing compensation, support and resettlement work, and meeting the requirements on project commencement time as prescribed.

Previously, the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee also agreed in principle to invest in the construction of resettlement areas to serve the work of compensation, support for site clearance and resettlement for the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Project, the section passing through Binh Dinh province in 7 areas.

Including the resettlement area in Thuan Duc village, Nhon My commune, An Nhon town, with an area of ​​about 5 hectares.

The remaining 6 areas in Tay Son district include the resettlement area of ​​Kien Long village, Binh Thanh commune (11 hectares); the resettlement area of ​​Tra Son village, Tay An commune (3 hectares); the resettlement area of ​​Phu Lac village, Binh Thanh commune (5 hectares); the resettlement area of ​​Truong Dinh 2 village, Binh Hoa commune (3.5 hectares); the resettlement area of ​​Thuan Hoa village, Binh Tan commune (3.46 hectares); the resettlement area of ​​Hoa Trung village, Binh Tuong commune (7.25 hectares).

According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Project is completing the final procedures; the locality is trying to start construction on the occasion of the new Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress in October 2025.
