In 2023, more than 1 million candidates nationwide registered to take the high school graduation exam. Of which, the number of candidates registering to take the exam online accounted for 94.51%; the number of candidates registering to take the exam directly accounted for 5.49%; and independent candidates accounted for 4.71%.

The number of candidates taking the exam only for high school graduation is 73,232 (accounting for 7.14%); the number of candidates taking the exam only for admission is 34,203 (accounting for 3.34%). The number of candidates taking the exam for graduation and admission is 917,731 (accounting for 89.52%).

According to the plan, the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam will be announced at 8:00 a.m. on July 18. The recognition of high school graduation will be completed no later than July 20. The Departments of Education and Training will announce the high school graduation results no later than July 22.

Printing and sending of exam result certificates to candidates must be completed by July 24 at the latest.
