Appointing new Chairman and Vice Chairmen of HCMC People's Council

On the morning of June 30, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce the Resolutions and Decisions of the Central and local governments on merging provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Ho Chi Minh City, communes, wards, and special zones.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: General Secretary To Lam; Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member, former President ; Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Thien Nhan, former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The announcement ceremony was also attended by Party Central Committee members, former Party Central Committee members; leaders and former leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong province, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; Secretaries of affiliated Party Committees and Secretaries of Party Committees of communes, wards, and special zones...

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, on behalf of the Central Working Group, announced the Resolutions and Decisions of the Central Committee on merging provincial-level administrative units, establishing party organizations, appointing Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Ho Chi Minh City.

Including the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on appointing the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Heads of the new Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Committees for the 2021-2026 term.

Comrade Vo Van Minh , Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council (new) for the 2021-2026 term.
