On May 14, Ba Don Town Police, Quang Binh Province, announced that they had arrested Nguyen Duc Quy (born in 1983, residing in Ba Don Town) for using a gun to break into a resident's house, causing panic and disorder in the residential area.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 12, a security camera at the private home of Mr. Phan Co Vich (born in 1983, residing in Minh Loi Residential Group, Quang Tho Ward, Ba Don Town) recorded the scene when he was sitting in the living room using his phone when Quy drove his car into the house and fired many consecutive shots with a gun.

The subject pointed a gun at Mrs. Ly, Mr. Vich's mother - Photo: Cut from clip

Hearing the gunshots, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly (born in 1953) and Mr. Pham Xuan Vinh (born in 1950), Mr. Vich's parents, came down from the second floor to check.

At this time, Quy was holding a gun to Mr. Vich's head. When Mrs. Ly intervened, Quy continued to hold the gun to Mrs. Ly, then Mr. Vinh came in to beg. After a short argument, Quy left.

According to initial information, Mr. Vich's family had no conflict with Quy. However, Mr. Vich's wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuc Hien, sold construction materials to Quy to build a house, and there was a debt between the two sides. At the time of the incident, Ms. Hien was not at home.

Currently, Ba Don Town Police are investigating the origin of the gun and ammunition that Quy used to shoot at Mr. Vich's house. The incident is still under investigation and clarification.
