During the search, the police force arrested three wanted suspects related to the attack on the commune headquarters in Dak Lak that left many people injured and dead.

On the evening of July 15, Major General Le Vinh Quy, Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police, confirmed that the police force had arrested three wanted criminals related to the attack on the headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, Cu Kuin district.

Defendant Y Ju Nie.

According to Major General Le Vinh Quy, the three arrested subjects include; Nay Yen (52 years old) and Nay Tam (49 years old), Gia Rai ethnic group, both residing in Cu Pong commune, Krong Buk district, and Y Ju Nie (55 years old, E De ethnic group, residing in Buon Kang, Ea Knuec, Krong Pak).

"The suspects were arrested at around 3:00 p.m. this afternoon in Ea Le commune (Ea Sup district). The police are currently gathering information to take their statements," Major General Quy added.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and Secretary of Ea Sup District Party Committee, also confirmed the above information and said that the subjects were arrested while hiding in a hut in the border commune of Ea Le.

Defendant Nay Tam

As reported by the press, in the early morning of June 11, a group of dozens of people used guns, petrol bombs... to attack the headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, Cu Kuin district.

The attack killed four police officers, the Secretary of Ea Ktur Commune and the Chairman of Ea Tieu Commune; three civilians died and two police officers were seriously injured.

Immediately after the incident, the Ministry of Public Security directed Dak Lak Provincial Police and related forces to quickly arrest the group of subjects.

As of July 15, the police have prosecuted and detained 90 subjects related to the above incident.

The above subjects were prosecuted by the police for the crimes of: "Terrorism against the people's government"; "Failure to report crimes" and "Organizing and brokering for others to illegally exit, enter or stay in Vietnam".

In addition, Dak Lak Provincial Police have issued special wanted warrants for 6 suspects related to the case, including Nay Duong (55 years old), Nay Yen (52 years old) and Nay Tam (49 years old), Gia Rai ethnic people, all residing in Cu Pong commune, Krong Buk district.

Y Ju Nie (55 years old, Ede ethnic group, residing in Buon Kang, Ea Knuec, Krong Pak); Y Hual E Ban (53 years old, Ede ethnic group, residing in Ea Map village, Ea Pok town, Cu M'gar district) and Y Khing Lieng (31 years old, M'Nong ethnic group, residing in Hoa Son commune, Krong Bong district).
