The contest with the theme “Developing green buildings” organized by Construction Newspaper aims to promote and widely disseminate the great benefits of green buildings for investors, buyers, sellers or renters of green buildings. At the same time, honoring construction works that are suitable for the natural conditions and hot and humid tropical climate of Vietnam, in harmony with the natural landscape, blending with green spaces.

Using energy resources and water resources economically and effectively; Developing the use of environmentally friendly materials and local materials, recycled and regenerated materials; Not causing negative impacts on the surrounding environment and ensuring the best quality of living environment for building users; Managing "smart" buildings.

Contestants: All Vietnamese citizens, journalists, groups of authors, and press agencies with journalistic works (hereinafter referred to as authors) that meet the criteria and rules of the contest can submit their works.

Requirements on the content of the entries

Articles about typical individuals and groups, initiatives, experiences, good lessons; demonstrated in application, research, learning, creativity, dedication; lessons learned in investment, construction and maximizing the efficiency of green buildings; highlighting the importance and practical application of the presence of green products and green buildings; building a cultural lifestyle in green urban areas, operating green buildings, proactively responding to climate change; preventing trends of pollution, environmental degradation, restoring and preserving traditional values ​​of green buildings on the basis of advanced science and technology of the 4.0 revolution;

Affirming unity of thought and awareness of the position, role and special importance of green buildings.

Affirming that sustainable development of Vietnam's construction industry is the responsibility of the entire political system, the rights and obligations of all organizations, businesses, communities and each citizen.

Good models, new ways in developing green buildings.

Entries should have new perspectives, new materials or new discoveries.

Regulations on entries

Press works participating in the Contest must be published in printed Newspapers/Magazines or electronic Newspapers/Magazines (except Radio - Television) of Central and local press agencies; with content on "Green building development" from January 1, 2024 to September 20, 2024.

Journalistic works must be the author's own creative work, ensuring accuracy and high persuasiveness. The author is legally responsible for the accuracy and copyright of the work.

Each author or group of authors can submit multiple works to the Contest in accordance with the requirements and conditions of this Contest.

Each entry must clearly state full name, pen name (if any), permanent address or agency, work unit, and phone number (for the Organizing Committee to contact).

Regulations on the use of works submitted to the Contest

The Organizing Committee of the contest has the right to use the winning works to print publications serving propaganda and promotion activities related to the content of the contest without having to pay royalties. At the same time, retain these works to serve propaganda and promotion work.

Works selected for printing propaganda materials: Sponsors have the right to use the works participating in the contest to propagate and promote valuable works to the social community.

Copyright belongs to the author. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for copyright disputes and related rights.

The award-winning works selected by the Jury for use in propaganda activities, if violating copyright and related rights according to the provisions of law, the Organizing Committee will revoke the award.

The entries will be judged in two preliminary and final rounds to select 01 First prize, 02 Second prizes, 03 Third prizes and 5 consolation prizes.

Time for receiving entries: From August 7, 2024 to September 20, 2024 (for entries sent by post, the deadline is calculated by postmark). The award ceremony is expected to be held on October 3-4, 2024 in Hanoi.
