Speaking at the opening of the training course, journalist Nguyen Van Minh, Editor-in-Chief of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, emphasized that we are living in an era where technology is changing every hour, every second. No field is outside the digital transformation wave, and journalism is no exception.

The Industry and Trade Newspaper has established a working group for digital transformation and innovation; deployed AI applications in editing, suggesting topics, analyzing reader behavior data, synthesizing market information, etc.

According to Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Van Minh, AI is a powerful tool, but AI can be biased, biased, and even cause information disruption if not controlled. We learn AI, apply AI, but do not leave it to AI. The pen is still in the hands of reporters. The right to decide still belongs to our conscience, intelligence, and professional responsibility.

At the training course, the trainees were shared basic knowledge about AI by Master Vu The Cuong - Lecturer of the Academy of Journalism and Communication; introduced and guided on how to use tools such as: ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Canva, Capcut... in the process of multimedia journalism.

In addition, experts will guide staff, reporters, and editors to use artificial intelligence tools in content creation such as: AI article drafting to optimize titles, SEO keywords, AI article structure to summarize press content, automatically write descriptions, and optimize content on digital platforms.

Applying AI in analyzing press data, creating illustrations and producing multimedia content such as: AI creating audio, creating videos from text, automatic video editing, short videos.

At the same time, analyze and discuss the challenges in applying AI to multimedia journalism.
