On the afternoon of December 17, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, the first meeting of the Vietnam Youth Union Committee, term IX, 2024 - 2029, took place, with the participation of Mr. Bui Quang Huy, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth, Vice President of the Central Youth Union, term VIII.

At the conference, delegates elected Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam as Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, term IX, 2024 - 2029.

Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, 40 years old, Kinh ethnic group; hometown: Truong Yen commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province; professional qualifications: PhD in construction, bachelor of law; political theory level: advanced.

The conference also elected 6 Vice Presidents of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, 9th term. Those re-elected include: Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union, Head of the Central Youth Front Committee of the Youth Union; Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, Vice Chairman of TTC Group; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Chairman of the Vietnam Young Artists Club; Mr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health), Chairman of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association.

The new personnel include: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper; Ms. Dao Viet Hang, President of the Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals, lecturer of the Department of Internal Medicine - Hanoi Medical University, Director of the Endoscopy Center - Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
