Travis Mitchell, the new executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City, has extensive experience in international trade and investment gained from a long stint in Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining AmCham Ho Chi Minh City, he served as the executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, where he connected the Royal Cambodian Government with the private sector , creating opportunities for growth and investment and fostering relationships between members of the American and Cambodian business communities.
He also served as an advisor to Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, the ASEAN Secretary-General, and has a background in research, policy advocacy, public health , and community activism.
During his 11 years working in the Southeast Asian market supporting the American business community, Travis was selected by the Cambodia Leadership Review as one of Cambodia's top 50 international voices in 2024.
Speaking about his new role, Travis Mitchell shared: "My previous role at AmCham Cambodia and my experience with American trade associations in the Asia- Pacific region allow me to enter this position with insightful perspectives on running an association."
